This homepage introduces the new Polyaxial Calcaneus Locking Plate System
RPS RIMBUS (Intercus Inc., Rudolstadt, Germany). This plate system combines the advantages of plates with locked screws (increased stability) and the advantages of plates without locked screws (polyaxial screw positioning and
pressing the plate to the bone with
resulting additional force
connection)(Special Features). The increased stability
compared with other plates with uniaxially locked screws or without locked screws was proven by an experimental testing under near physiological conditions (Test results, Literature).
